The design of this game is about what you would expect. There is an outdoor setting with lots of four-leaf clover in the grass beneath the reels. There are pots of gold there too, and the reels are displayed on a wooden background. All rather nice to look at.

How to play the Pot of Gold slot game

They've given us five reels here, but there are four symbols sitting on each one instead of three. It doesn't take long to spot one progressive jackpot here either - the Cash Grab jackpot in the top left of the screen.

A four-leaf clover gets to play the wild role in this game. It replaces almost everything else, except for the gold coin and the pot of gold. You will only spot the wilds cropping up on reels two, three, and four. The pot of gold is the scatter, and we'll explain more about this and the gold coin later in our review.

Free spins in the Pot of Gold slot game

To earn these, you must simply find three or more pots of gold anywhere in one spin. It doesn't matter how many pots you get, as you'll receive one of three amounts of spins - five, 10, or 15 of them, randomly awarded. You can trigger more the same way, but there is no multiplier for the prizes in these rounds.

There is a chance that you might unlock the Golden Spins bonus during your free games. to do this, you must receive six or more gold coins on the same free spin. You'll get three Golden Spins to start with if this happens. All triggering coins remain where they are, and the reels are cleared of other symbols. The idea is to play the Golden Spins to try and find more gold coins. If you do get more, the spin counter resets to three.

This portion of the game ends when you run out of Golden Spins or you get a coin in every space on the reels. You then receive the total of all the coin values… and a special bonus if you've filled the reels.

This is a decent game with some neat features in it. It certainly earns its way toward a score of 8 out of 10 points. We suspect the Gold Coin feature is hard to trigger, especially as it only appears in the free spin feature, but it is a nice addition nonetheless.
